Bio – David Garner

Mr. Garner has recently retired from a successful career spanning in excess of 35 years. His work has focused on the Employee Benefit field culminating as President and CEO of Green Shield Canada (from which he retired at the end of 2009). Green Shield is Canada’s largest national not-for-profit provider of employee benefit plans.

Mr. Garner has also gained experience and contributed to his communities throughout his career. He served the Sunshine Foundation of Canada for more than 8 years starting at the local chapter level and eventually becoming National President of the Board. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors at Centennial College, is a Director Emeritus at Green Shield Canada and was recently appointed to the Finance Committee of the Board at Providence Healthcare.
