| Bio –
Karen Gavan
Ms. Gavan is a corporate
director with over twenty-five years of financial and corporate
governance experience. She is a Fellow of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and holds the ICD.D
designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Ms.
Gavan is a Board member of Mackenzie Financial Corporation,
Counsel Group of Funds, Green Shield Canada, Foresters,
Economical Mutual Insurance Company and TBAY Tel Municipal
Services.
Ms. Gavan was formerly the Chief Operating Officer and Chief
Financial Officer of Transamerica Life and AEGON Fund Management
Inc. Prior to that she held senior management positions
with Canada Life and Imperial Life Assurance Company. In
addition to sitting on the Board of Hope Air, she has served
for many years on the Board of the Children’s Aid
Foundation.
