Bio – Sam Barone

In August 2008, Mr. Barone became President and CEO of the Canadian Business Aviation Association in Ottawa, Ontario. With over 30 years experience, Mr. Barone is one of Canada’s better-known aviation industry specialists. He has held a wide variety of aviation and transportation-related assignments in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

In addition to being a Director with Hope Air, Mr. Barone is also a Board Member of The Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (North America) in Ottawa. His articles and commentary on aviation and transportation issues have appeared worldwide and he is a frequent speaker on aviation industry matters. In December 2002, he was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal by the Governor General of Canada in recognition of his contributions to public safety through the Canada Safety Council.
